Atman – Everything or Nothing

As we go deep into meditation, we experience our ego, our identity and everything that is not us, dissolving into emptiness and is replaced by gratitude for everything around. We suddenly realize what we cared about all our life was not even worth a single moment of the precious life we have got as a human. Being a human, we have got an incredible opportunity to use our body as a tool to create vibrations that can take us to the highest level of consciousness.

So being a seeker of truth, we do Svādhyāya {(Devanagari: स्वाध्याय) is a Sanskrit term which literally means “one’s own reading” and “self-study”. Svadhyaya is a Niyama (virtuous observance) connoting introspection and “study of self” .}

While that which is not us is going away, and the realisation of who we are occurs, we see the whole world as a single identity. Everything around us becomes us and everything inside us becomes everything outside in this beautiful world. Since we are unable to differentiate between what we are and what we are not, everything appears as an emptiness to us. And that emptiness or nothingness, in term of physicality, emotions and beyond, is experienced from within us. That emptiness is all around us. That is when we have found ourselves, the Atman or the Brahman.
