Food, story of an offering & gratitude!

ॐ नमः शिवाय 🙏

I was clicking this pic of beautiful looking food and the next moment I had a story to tell

Story of an offering and gratitude:

We all survive on an offering.. Yes you read it right.. An offering.. Let us see how: would you be able to live without food? The wheat, the rice, the vegetables, fruits.. Well for most who understand what I wish to say, the answer would be ‘No we can not’.

This food that we consume is offering itself for life to function in other forms on this planet. This thought hit me when I was having a delicious looking meal. The instant gratitude could not be hidden. I stopped and bowed down to the selflessness of the life on the planet as if it knows that it will still flourish, may be in a different form or shape. Today it is a vegetable, a grain, the next moment it is another life form.

It is so overwhelming to see the offering every life making substance around us is. It inspires me to break the shackles of identification with everything I have known myself to own.. The house, the work, the body.. Everything.
